Postdoctoral Position at University of California San Francisco (UCSF) in molecular pathogenesis and imaging probe development

A postdoctoral fellowship is currently available in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) working with Drs. Rosenberg, Wilson and Ohliger to study the metabolic imaging of infection using bacteria-specific PET and hyperpolarized 13C MRI methods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biochemistry, microbiology, structural biology and the use of preclinical animal models. The most relevant experience would be with in vitro and in vivo models of biofilm development. The successful applicant will work as part of a collaborative team and have access to a wide range of equipment, including at μPET/CT scanner, on-site cyclotron, 18F and 11C synthesis modules, hot cells, and liquid scintillation equipment. A dedicated cell and molecular biology laboratory, fully equipped for biological assays as well as a recently installed state of the art LC-MS system are used for complementary investigations.
