Research Scientist (f/m/d) – Computational Biology – OMICs data analysis

full time and permanent

Join our computational biology team to support Evotec on the data driven R&D Autobahn to cures! We are looking for a scientist, who has a strong background in disease biology/biomedical science and experience with OMICs data analysis and visualization.

Your key responsibilities:

Use your expertise in liver, kidney, or metabolic disease to mine OMICs data of large patient cohorts (e.g. transcriptomics, proteomics, or metabolomics) for identification of novel drug targets and disease signatures

Perform integrative analysis of multidimensional biological data to support project teams with novel, biologically relevant insights and hypotheses

Drive development of tools for data interpretation and visualization in an interdisciplinary team of computational scientists, bioinformaticians and biologists

Work at the interface of dry and wet lab, communicate results to project teams within Evotec and external clients

Your Qualifications:

Ph.D. in life sciences or related field with expertise in metabolic disease (liver, kidney) and OMICs data analysis

Experience with R-based data analysis

Expertise in early Drug Discovery is a plus

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, collaborators and customers

Experience in working on and with interdisciplinary teams

Fluency in English is required
